My parents just baught my sis a laptop for a HS grad gift. The guys at bestbuy talked her into getting vista on it, even though the comp is only .512 MB RAM and 40 GB HD. It took like 20 minutes for me just to open control panel! SLOW.

Nice... I love their commercials where they say "thousands of vista trained employees"... wtf? Most of the people at BestBuy could tell you their butt from a hole in the ground, how are they supposed to know about the requirements for any computer running ANY OS? I suppose you COULD run Vista on your new computer, if you deactivated all the things that make Vista, Vista (i.e. turning it into Windows 2000).
