Well, just went out and got a new scanner, its a Canon Lide 60. Was 79$ at staples. This thing is awesome! About the size as my 15 inch powerbook. The software is really easy to use, and it excellent at automatically cropping photos (at least on the mac) One of the main reasons I bought it is because of its portability. All of its power comes from the usb 2.0 port! No power adapter, and it only weighs 3 pounds! I just got back from picking someone up from the airport, a couple more photos to scan and Im goin to bed. Its a huge job scanning in all of our photos, I will be ordering photo albums through iPhoto. If anyone is looking for a scanner, Im really happy with this one so far.
