ibook vs. powerbook

Hey I'm about to buy an ibook and I was just wondering if it is worth the extra cash to buy the powerbook? or will the ibook be fine. I'm a student and I will be starting my freshman year of college, so I'm trying to find which one will be best, no pc laptops please. I don't do any gaming and play around with photoshop occasionally so I don't need something terribly fast.
thx
Jeff

the ibook should suit you, people do lots of stuff with them, the powerbook is more for high-end usage. up to you what you want to do with that extra $$$.. i learnt 3 years ago, that buying a top-end machine is a waste. buy the cheapest laptop you can, and then get a great desktop for any of your other needs, and you will still come out cheaper then a laptop that could do it equally well as the desktop. live and learn i guess.
