I don't like it as much. It "engages" too fast, and doesn't have options to change that. I wish it could be used with the use of a special mouse button or something, because when I browse over pages, I use my mouse and the window keeps popping up.

I am not sure how long it will take before Cool iris gets annoying.
I found also that it gets in the way of normal browsing.

Marko, you can adjust the delay of it.
It is there when you right click the check box down there.
By default it is set at 1000.
Also for site you do not want to use it on, click the box to put a red X in it.
I find it useful for checking a few posts here to see if I really need to read them or not.
But yes, it can get annoying too having to check the red box for each new domain you visit.
The spell checker though is my favorite.
No more cut and paste into Outlook.

something else cool you all might wanna try it called "mouse gestures" https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/39/
this lets you make certain movements with your cursor to control things. there are soooooooooooo many options but i mainly use it for going back (hold right + drag left), forward (hold right + drag right), stop (hold right + drag down), refresh (hold right + drag up) and new tab (hold right + drag up/left diagonal). its completely customizable to what you want. i had a similar program for windows that came with my gyration mouse back in the day and this is just like it so im happy. muche asier to navigate without moving to buttons

Shift-Alt-S works, the following should work too:
In the address bar type about:config
change ui.key.chromeAccess to 5
change ui.key.contentAccess to 4
Restart Firefox

Update on Cooliris,
I gave it some attention and noticed when I changed the settings for cooliris under Tools -> Addons -> Cooliris, it can be set so it will only preview when you hold the CTRL key.
That's how I've it set now, and it has become a very handy, non intrusive feature.
You'll have to restart firefox for the changes to take effect.
