haha, whoever is running a wireless router in my apartment complex is a real whiz! they don't have any security setup up and still have the default admin PW! I found it with my wireless nic and tried to get the xbox to connect. it wouldn't. so I realized they haven't updated the firmware, hehe, so I updated it for them and my xbox connected right up. haha! now I don't have to buy a router. I'll just run my computer off my own cable modem and "borrow" an ip through their router. hehe. no more cable stretched across the room, for at least as long as it takes them to realize somebody else is on there. but I don't think they've ever logged onto it, all the settings are default.

LOL. There are 3 wireless networks in my apartment complex and 2 are availble for my use anytime.

I think wireless may be some of the lag problem that I have been seeing on LIVE lately.

I never had a problem with lag, even with the wireless. even when I used the free wireless I had at the hotel when I first came up here and not with the wireless I ran in Houston. I think some of these people are just pinheads on substandard providers or something. or they don't know a think about networking and run a router without setting it up properly and tweaking it. I may have to go in and "help" (hehe) the community wireless I just found. haha.

And you'll be happy to know that I _still_ have a number next to my name! (though, it's just "2" )

I'm usually on every night, but not until after 11pm PT.

easy killer!

I'm usually up until 1:30-2:00 these days with an alarm going off at 6am. For a while I was in bed at 10pm, but my psyche doesn't like that much sleep.

I was just going through your stats for your games and looks like you shot a lot but don't hit much. Try this, only shot when you have that person in you sights and you are fully loaded. Shoting like a madman and not hitting anything then trying to reload makes you an easy kill.

I'm gonna decline. I'm in a mode right now where I'm just running around blasting crap. Strategy and teamwork is a ways off for me.

Ben..

Yeah, I ALWAYS have that problem in new FPS games.

I have two issues right now, one of them specific to Halo 2.

1) the general issue is that I aim for body shots instead of head shots. That's a low damage factor and by the time I get sighted in, I'm toast. 2) the specific issue is the d(*&@^@!#(*& size of the weapon in your right hand. The sight on the weapon is as large as the crosshairs, and I'm constantly catching myself sighting off the weapon instead of the crosshairs. doh!

I'll get better... I just need to continue getting used to a console game and how it handles.

(btw, I did end up buying that keyboard adapater, but it's on a slow boat from Hong Kong. )

Your strategy will work fine then. Just remember to reload. One more thing that may help your game play, try not to run up to the guy you are trying to shot, rather try to keep him at a distance that you can keep him in the sight even if that means reverse or side to side.

I am giving you these tips because I am trying them too. I have been struggling with the head shots too, but have been getting better.

I usually only play when I am loaded, um, oh, you're talking about a full magazine, never mind.

that's basically all I do to, I don't like organization I just like blosing things up, driving vehicles, and wasting the unsuspecting enemies. I don't worry too much about stats, I just respawn with the trigger on and go balls out. When I'm playing the campaign by myself or coop with some one then I behave a little more like a highschooler rather than a preschooler.

! MEE TOO!

Usually about 11pm or so I'll pour a Jack & Coke and settle in for a night of death and destruction.
