Firefox question about opening tabs

Hi

Is there a Firefox add-on that will open bookmarks in the same window as the one currently open without closing the tabs already open?

When I "open in tabs" it will close all the already open tabs, and I want a way to just add those tabs onto the already open ones.

Anyone know if this is possible?

On my Firefox, I just right click the bookmark and ask it to open it in a New Tab, which it does in the same window. Are you referring to something else?

I am talking about a group of bookmarks, not a single bookmark.

See where it says Open in Tabs? If that is clicked, it will close all the existing open tabs. I do not want to do that--I want to open those two additional tabs in the same window without closing any existing tabs. Right clicking on Open in Tabs does nothing.

The tabbrowser preferences add-on/extension changes the default behavior to what you desire.

Surprisingly, previous versions of firefox used your method of thinking, which was changed later on per peoples' requests.

Now, installing the above extension will change this behavior to favor your method. I have learned that it does this by changing/adding some values in a config file.

I tried to figure out how it does it and if I could do it myself in a simpler way, but I don't have the time to do that right now. But if you don't mind having the extension around, no problems there. I am more worried about people who like the current way but also like tabbrowser preferences, since it is a truly good extension.

Cheers.
