Ahhh, you used the infamous Comcast/ATBI/@Home install CD.
Way back when I got cable it was @Home, now Comcast.

Their CD will brand your IE.
You do not have to use the CD to set Comcast up.

Not sure how you can remove the branding, but the answer may be here on the Comcast forum I use @ DSL Reports.

you could simply try un-installing, re-installing IE.. but yea, with cable or dsl.. you really don't need the cd.. unless you were unfortunate to get a basic modem (no nat functionality) and have a win9x or 2000 machine.. since xp has pppoe built in (only relative to dsl)

There is a sneaky way to get rid of it. Do a search in the IE folder for all graphics with your search set to show thumbnails in the folder. There will be alot of files but you'll be able to scroll through and find the culprit. Then either rename it, delete it or, like I do, replace it with something you would like to see each time you open the browser.
I would tell you the best advice, get Firefox and don't use "Exploder."
Most likely the file will be GIF but it could be a JPG.

There are also a few registry keys that need to be removed. Check out that forum Corey posted the link to. I did it a while back and I found my answer there.
