yeh my brother had a few servers. he was on a clan for CS. this season they didnt do to well and i believe they dropped out because team many of the team members were too busy. you may have heard of them. unison. but he had i think three cs servers...cs condition zero, cs condition zero private server (for the clan to practice and play other teams), and a cs source server. he was going to host another server for bf2 but he couldnt. he was holding all the servers at his work. (he worked for an internet provider which made the connection really good and the ping really low.) he was friends with the boss so he didnt care. but recently he quit because his "friend" was being a jerk and taking advantage of him. so when he moved to another job his boss made him take the servers out of there.

yeh it is important to find a good bf2 server with low ping because i have noticed even if there is a little bit of a high ping then it really starts to lag.

If you get a chance, test out Andy's servers.
You should get a pretty low ping being only three states away.

I will be trying out BF2 more this coming weekend.
The game sure got a lot of hype, and it is the top subject over on DSL Reports gaming section.

Drop Andy (Drew) a PM here, and I am sure he will play.
I will be playing some UT 2004 after dinner.

Danny, just reread this post as Andy's server is not uwarfare anymore.
It is named flybye, and the one that is on uwarfare is not his, but his old partner that Andy had set his two servers up for, but now that guy has his own server, but it it is not as good as Andy's.

So to access Andy's two Battlefield 2 servers, just search for flybye.
By the way, the following 3 games are running on his two servers:
Flybye's Seattle OC3 Server #1 - 64.34.33.204:16567
Battlefield 2
Counter Strike Source

Flybye's Seattle OC3 Server #2 - 64.246.174.203:16567
Battlefield 2
Unreal Tournament 2004 (to play this game, either use the IP addy for server #2, or search for Seattle dedicated OC3 in the Internet list for UT 2004.

Also saw that you got that new Dell gaming laptop.
Dude, that is one of the best gaming laptops on the market now.
Maximum PC or CPU magazine gave it a very high rating.
I would like to have one.
That will play any game out there right now with ease.

It is not ranked, and shame on EA Games for the reason.
The only way an individual can host a ranked game is to rent the server through EA Games themselves, and of course they charge a lot of $$$.

Andy has his own 2 servers from a good group that hosts them out of the Seattle Weston Hotel where a lot of servers are run from.
They go through different ISPs keeping the speed at the fastest it can be.

Have fun with that Dell

You should join us this Saturday for some BF2, or test it out anytime.
Not sure which is the best of the 2 to pick from, just check which server has more in it.

Not sure if Andy has Teamspeak running on the other BF2 server which also has Counter Strike Source on it, but the server which has UT 2004 and BF2 on it I will turn Teamspeak on Friday evening.

This way you can talk to anyone in the game.
Just be sure to config TS to work first, and input the server IP in the Quick Connect area.
