I am totally new to cb radio's but have always wanted one. I am about to buy a cheap dinky one Midland compact for $30 bucks, now im not too sure what to get for an antenna. the 102" antenna seems too long but idk what would be best. I am on a budget so like $40 bucks is my max.

any help would be appreciated so i dont buy something stupid and crappy

for what your getting a firestick will work.If your looking for a mag mount any of the wilson models work great.

i know i wont use a mag mount, ill check out the firestick. are all antennas usually super long?

Nothing beats the 102" I had one, but a little cumbersome. I love my 4ft Wilson FLex antenna. Firesticks are good too, but a firberglass antenna doesn't like too many branches etc etc hitting off them. Especially when they are cold.

ill check out wilson too, the whole 102" is that its so damn long and as for as much wheeling i do i wont need it that much but thanks for the help im checking them out tonight!
