Weird CB interference into my stereo

I have the Cobra 19DX IV. it's a great unit. im running the cheapo magnetic antenna from radio shack. it's tuned and everything. only problem is, any time i key the mic and my stereo is on (no matter if it's playing the radio or a CD) it puts everything through my stereo. so whenever i use my CB, i have to turn off my stereo. it doesnt do this when i use my PA function, so i'm leaning towards the antenna wire.

my stereo system consists of a pioneer head unit running two an amp in my truck mounted to the back of the rear seats. the signal wires are running down the driver side. the power wire for the amps and the CB are running down the passenger side. the signal and antenna wires never cross. and even if i keep them atleast 3 feet from eachother, it still does this.

any help please

If I may be so bold as to answer on Jason's behalf - at Pismo I saw that he had his CB next to his center console on the passenger side. He also had a magnetic mount centered on the roof above the rear seats.
