SPOT gps device

Has anyone ever heard of SPOT? its supposed to be a gps tracker. This has different buttons and they consist of

Check in = sends a message saying your ok
Help = Sends a help message to your contact(s)
911 = when your in deep S#!T sends to the emergency crews.

everyone of these buttons sends the coordinates along with the info to who ever it might be so that they can track you if your in the middle of gods now where.

heres the sitehttp://www.findmespot.com/en/index.php?cid=101

Cheers

I used to sell them when I worked at Bass Pro Shop. Theyre supposed to work really well from what Ive been told. The check in sends your coordinates and a preprogramed message like "Im fine" or whatever you program it to say and it works with google maps so that whenever you check-in your family and friends can track your progress. I would recommend if you do get one getting the emergency coverage though, If I remember correctly the subscription is like 100 bucks a year to use it and the insurance is something like 20 bucks the last time I checked it, otherwise youll be stuck with a HUGE search and rescue bill if you have to use the 911.
