Cobra 75wx st vs Cobra 76XTR
I am torn between these 2 radios.. i've search and read the few threads about the 75s but didnt find anything on the 76s
Cobra 75 has noaa weather, and scanning but does not have PA and it does not come with antenna. the 75 will be more $ since i will have to buy an antenna setup and the cost of the radio is more.
Cobra 76 has PA, comes with a lightup antenna, but is not able to scan or get noaa weather... this one i can get from ebay for 80 bucks shipped and its ready to install.
i had a PA on the big runner and it was fun to use in traffic / be able to monitor the radio at camp... but it got ripped out a while ago and has not been replaced and i dont miss it THAT much. I've used the noaa weather alerts on a rig that i was borrowing and it was nice to know what the weather is going to be like....
so i am torn.... which radio do you have and do the features out weigh the other one. i only want to hear from people with the Cobra 75wx st or the Cobra 76XTR ( or another all-in-handset radio)

I really liked my Cobra 75wxt I had in my Tacoma..should have pulled it before I sold it.
It just felt better as in more robust than the 76 when I looked at them....but the price on the 76 is nice. but the NOAA feature is nice especially when the clouds are rolling in.
I am contemplating a 2nd 75wxt, one thing to consider is that cobra is still making the 75, the 76 is no longer on their website...probably not a big deal since other than getting ripped off nothing really goes wrong with a CB...

I have the 75 and have had it for 2 months now with a Wilson 1000 working flawlessly with out tuning it. I really like the NOAA feature it helps on setting up camp whether its going to rain or not in your neck of the woods. Now if you really want all of the features get both the boxs does not take a hole lot of room. LOL

I have that same midland, it was hard to hear, so I got a cobra 29 and turned the midland into a handheld. Still works fine.
I wish the 29 scanned. Its a useful function on the road. The iphone weather isn't enough for you?
