Nice! If you're going offroading you might want to put something around the bottom part of the firestik in case it swings into the body. Doing that enough times mihgt wear out the paint not to mention drive you nuts from the noise of it.

Looks like it's mounted in with the tail light if it's a channel type bracket.

Yeah, the mount screws in on the inside. So it just comes out from that "crack", or whatever you want to call it. The coax cable comes out from the corner of the taillight. I filed it down a bit with a round file, so it worked out pretty well. I'll try and get more pics tomorrow. The antenna doesn't swing enough to hit the body. Well, it hasn't yet. I don't know if it has that much play... It seems like it would break before hitting the body. We'll see though.

Russell: Yeah, I go to Poly too. What year are you?

I'm a first year. No shame in 5 years... I think I'll be here for more. Haha. The Runner is always parked in the R2 lot. I don't know if you drive that way or not, but that's where it usually is.

4runnerkid-can you take a pic with the tailgate down so I can see how you mounted the antenna? Do you have a part # for the mount?

now be sure to get your radio and antenna tuned. I today mounted my antenna to my front bumper, so we will see how this plays out.
