CB Install for 88 4runner
hey just bought me a midland cd radio and now im wondering how to install it. not the radio itself but the antenna. what kind of antenna should i buy and how tall? do i have to buy a coax lead? also any pictures of a cb install on a first gen would be nice.

I have a 3' bear fot antenna on mine. Most people use the firestick (3'). It can be found at just about any truck stop.
YOu will have to buy some coax for it also. THe length depends on where you are mounting it. I mounted mine to the rear bumper, and I think it took 20' of coax. That gave me a couple feet extra but its better to have too much than not enough...... : )

cacattack,
defintely do some reading at www.firestik.com. they have the best info on their site about your questions.
installs are pretty much the same, regardless of vehicle. check out the tech section and there are a few cb writeups in there.
