check the wires for a bare spot .also check the power plug on the back. you can also smell the cb and see if there is a burnt smell. if there is a burnt smell it has something wrong in side.the cobras have a diode inside ,if i remember right to protect them from power on the neg wire. it will keep it from working but it usually won't pop the fuse if it is bad. also if it has a cigerette lighter plug on it, take it apart and make sure the wires arn't touching.

^^ what he said... i would suspect a short somewhere from being bounced around, maybe a loose wire.

maybe moisture in the radio somewhere? i used to bring my radio in from the car in the winter, but i think that was worse than leaving it in the cold (like -30 cold) because it died soon after (first couple of weeks of winter).

i was told moisture probably condensed in there, then when i put it back into the car and turned it on something probably shorted.
