Wiring for stereo.
Okay so whoever owned my first gen before i did decided to hack the plugs off the harness and hard wired his stereo in its an 1988. So now the deck has died and i want to put my other one in but i dont want to hard wire it because i like the ability to swap it out. my question is can i hack the harness on my parts 2nd gen runner and wire it to the first gen harness. are they not in fact the same harness for the most part? when you go to buy the wiring kit from a stereo store its just a generic "84 and up" just want to double check before i go and dick around with my wiring.

Excellent so I can ha the plugs off the 2nd gen body harness and wire it to the first gen. That's all I needed to know. Thanks a bunch!
