What amp do I need
I have 97 Toyota 4runner and I'm puttin two 12" subwoofers in the back. Their rms/peak is 1000-2000 watts. I need to know what kid of amp I should get to power these subs. They are 2 12" dc lvl 4.

I would go with rockford, kicker, if its 1000 watt rms 2000 peak i would go with sumthing in the 12 to 15 hundred range you dont want to much power going to the subs. I had 2 audio pipe 15's that was 1200 watt rms and thats the size amp i went with and it was plenty of power nething over 3/4 on the gain and they distorted real bad. And that system came in 5th at our local sound bass off at a 140d

Wow i didnt think id ever see DC on this forum. lvl 4s can handle tons of power. Im more of a Sundown Audio guy but a 1500 rms amp should do very well. But your going to need at least two batteries to make up for the alternator. Also do the Big 3 upgrade to help your voltage drop.
