Do the full time power outlet mod, Tap into the two lines of the one of the power outlets and add a inline switch at the same time. = )

The ACC fuse under the dash, that turns on with the key at ACC and ON. It should be fine as the Sat Radio does not take much power.

yea the acc is fuse is where i ran the wire, but i was wanting to clean up the install a little bit. i was hoping there was a power source behind the dash. on the outlet there are 2 wires ... are these the same wire just with an outlet in the middle? (meaning either side would be ok to cut?)

do you mean the power outlets? you would want to cut the positive side, it would be the wire that connects to the center prong in the outlet, the ground is the outer "shell".

oh dear god...

Ok first go to harbour freight tools and buy a 3.99 DMM. (Digital Multi Meter)

Now use the DMM to determine which wires on those cigarrette lighters are carrying 12v's and which ones are ground. (If you mess up the polarity the DMM will tell you by giving you a negative voltage.) And all you have to do to make sure that the cigarette lighters shut down is to turn off the key and see if the voltage drops to zero.

I do install on these things like popcorn - 60 min and im done and you see NO wires at all!
