Story = my old stereo was recently stolen (my fault, left the door open or unlocked). Now my amp and head unit are history. I ordered a new head unit but it only has one (sub) rca pre amp out put. I will obviously use this for my sub. Oh yah the hu I got is a sony 54 watt by 4 channels which is really 17 watts x 4 rms at 4 ohms (I know its not the best hu). I have some aftermarket speakers 4" in the dash.
Problem = When they are hooked up to the front channels from the head unit they are not sounding so good when I crank the volume.
Question = Can I bridge the front and rear channels with out loosing stereo?(rear channels are not currently being used because I only have two speakers not counting my sub that will run off a yet to be purchsed amp.) If the answer is yes how do you wire this (sorry I dont know this simple things) Thanks to anyone that helps me here!

I would say yes....just make sure you bridge left with left and right with right. That at least seems like the logical answer.

Sucks about your stuff getting stolen. Sucks even more that you have to keep it locked all the time.

No. You cannot bridge a head unit.
