Speaking choice and install

I am going to be installing my Scion HU soon in my 03 T4R. I would like to put in replacement speakers in the front also. I am leaning towards Infinity's. Not sure to go with the Kappa's or Reference. I really don't want to install an amp.
I do have a question regarding the crossovers. Where do they get installed? Are they in the doors or in/under the dash?
Also has any one tried the Clarion self powered sub?
Will take all advice, good or bad.

I mounted my Morel x-overs in the door right on top of the speaker. I have pics of them here in post #13 .
I have to do a little more thinking when I rewire everting to be where I want it since the door panel pops off sometimes since the x-overs are a little too think. I may mount them somewhere under the dash next time.

My X-overs are mounted under my driver's seat. You can pretty much put them anywhere though. If you put them in the doors make sure they are not susceptible to moisture, cover them with a ziplock bag or something if you do. Never heard the Infinitys so I can't comment on that. What is a Scion Head Unit?
