Sounds system help
Hi guys,
In my haste to replace my blown single channel Visonik 300w amp I found a good deal (well I thought) to a 400w marine 4 channel pyle amp (
Previously I just had the stereo running the 4 speakers and amp for 10" sub. Was happy with set up but have blown 2 amps, think it was the mounting under passenger seat.
With the 4 channel amp I think I'll need a single channel to run sub. 2 5" speakers in door and 2 6"X9" in rear of 4rnr. Sonny Xplode.
Really I just want a descent sounding system. Do you think I'll even need the sub with the 4 channel amp?
I didn't search much, so feel free to bash me about a newb question with out searching good. School me.

amplifying the interior speakers will not replace the low end that a subwoofer offers. you will certainly get more volume out of the speakers, but bass will not be anywhere near that of a subwoofer. you can either use the 4 channel to run the 4 speakers, and get another amp to run your subs, or you can use two of the channels of the amp for one pair of speakers, and bridge the other two channels for the subwoofer (the amp may not have enough power to push the sub since its a 4 channel)

Thanks for the response. I'm looking at another amp. Prolly a 2 channel Pyle and switching to two 8" subs. I like the idea of mounting speakers in the rear two compartments where the jack went on driver side and storage is on passenger side. Will measure, with luck they will mount flush with enclosures built into compartments. Have seen a couple guys put 10" in that way and build enclosures out past flush. Will see...
Thanks for the advice!!!
