well, i got no pics with me right now, because im pretty much too lazy to take the pics and download them, but ive got a 10in rockford fosgate p2 punch sub in a q-logic box behind my seat and its hooked to a dual amp thats mounted on a felt covered board drilled through the back wall in the cab. ur deff right about the not much room though. anyways, the sub sounds great as long as u have some other speakers to cover the rest of the music. ive got 4in infinity ref's in my dash and i love my set up. not that im not always looking to add to it. thinkin about possibly boxing some 6 1/2's or 6X9's or something. ya never know. lol

I did basically the same thing with my 86, about 11 years ago when I was 19 and didn't have any bills...
I had an amp board between the seats, with two amps attached. One was for the 8" sub, which was in a truck box I bought from Crutchfield. The other went to a pair of MB Quartz 5.25 seperates I mounted in teardrop shaped MDF cutouts in the doors. The cutouts gave me the depth I needed for the larger woofer, and the tweeter made a big difference over the dash speakers. I chose not to hook those up since they wouldn't be amplified.
The size of the sub depends on how tall you are. I'm 6'1", so I couldn't get 10's. The 8 is good unless you listen to lots of rap, in which case you'll want to go bigger. Whatever you do, keep your amps cool. Not a lot of airflow back there.

sounds good.....has anyone used those kickpanels that mount to your doors for putting speakers in. was wondering how good those were and how easy to install. the ones i saw on crutchfield were kind of spendy
