1998 4runner
after market deck checked all connections fuses ok so know I really dont know plugged back in my stock radio in and now the lights on the dash/ac do not come one when the headlights are on


bought the aftermarket wires so I did not have to cut my wire harness
drive around stop at a light the radio only sometimes will flicker on and of which makes the power antenna go up and down


put stock radio in and now all my lights on the dash and ac are off with head lights on

 

For a second there, reading your title, I thought you meant your radio would go off at a set of traffic lights.

 

check your grounds

 

i also say check your grounds but it looks as if the aftermarket works fine and the stock doesn't? If that is the case, maybe something happened to the stock radio while it sat and is causing the problems. maybe your grounds are loose or the antenna wire is not plugged in good too. also, check your fuses too
