Exclamation Radio has power, but no sound through speakers

I have a 1986 Pickup 4x4 5 speed base model only has 2 speakers under the dash....

The radio turns on, antenna is hooked up....

Both fuses under the hood and in the cab for the radio are good and have power with tester light.....

I have heard the speaker crackle one time... put new speakers in and nothing!...

I have no power to the speakers, but like I said the radio has power.. could it be the radio? its the original radio...

Doesn't appear to have any shorts or cuts in the speaker wiring harness...

Cool! An original Toyota radio! You do not see to many of those around anymore.

It is quite possible the radio is no longer working as it should.

Do you get any sound out of the speakers at all? Did you try both the AM and FM bands?

Wiring looks hacked. Tried connecting the speakers directly to output, in case your wiring's bad?

I like the older radios where both volume and tuning use knobs. Easier to adjust while keeping eyes on road.
Anyway, replacement radios are so INexpensive now, under $100. My minimum requirements which are almost standard now:
1) Aux in
2) Bluetooth
3) Simple single-DIN, now fancy touch-screen display.
4) Volume and tuning KNOB-operated.

So it was the radio itself ! I swapped and put a new radio in and speakers and all wiring was left alone and everything works now!
