Q-Logic Custom Kickpanels
Just thought I'd post about these because I don't think many people know about them...atleast I sure didn't.
These are from Q-Logic and they are called Q-Forms, they are premade custom fit kickpanels for the 2nd gen Runners. They allow for a 6.5" component system or just a 6.5" speaker minus the tweeter. Either way it improves sound 110%. Here are some pics of them with my Infinity Kappa Perfect6.1" Component System mounted in them. Let me know if you have any questions about these...these completely transformed my system so I would be more than happy to help any of you out with them.
Here is a link to their site to see all the various things they offer:

I actually found a method to sound deaden the area. It involve a home made dynamat. Using the soft cushion mulit color carpet that you find in the local hardware store. Then taking is and soaking it with 3m rubberised underbody spray. Thus creating a thick dense, carpet. Ive actualy use this method before to do kick pannels in civics. and it worked. It created a sealed enclosure effect.

Chris,
Couple of questions. Do you see any problems with your left foot resting on while driving? Also, were there any mods required (moving anything, etc) when installing them? They look sharp! Great job. Thanks in advance.

It took a little time to get used to not being able to put your foot right there when getting in, but if your foot rests up against them thats no problem...I do it all the time.
Biggest thing will be not kicking them when getting in the truck...I did that a bunch before I got used to it, now that I've had them for awhile its no big deal at all.
As far as any other mods go..nope, nothing was needed to be done. Except for removing the stock kick panel of course. The only other thing to keep in mind is if you need to replace a fuse or check one you have to take the kickpanels off, but that is as easy as undoing (2) philips head screws and pulling the panel away...no big deal at all.
Thanks for the comps man, if you have anymore questions be sure to let me know!

They are a plastic composite, they have some fiberglass in them.
You can get them online with the link I provided, find a dealer somewhere else online or go to your local Circuit City and ask them about them.
Mine ran about $120 for the pair so before my discount they were probably like $140...somethin like that.

Nice! And they do look very clean, however you can improve the sound from the lower midrange on down by stiffening them with fiberglass on the backside, then sealing off the backside and then placing a small 2" diameter hole in the newly sealed backside. Your midbass response will improve 100fold.
