Nightmares of first gen 4runner chaos

Well to get started I am not the original owner, and by no means a stereo guru. I bought the truck about 2 years ago and since then I have pulled close to 300 feet of wiring that was at one point the previous owners stereo system (4 15" s in the back) Well these follies have been repeated demises to my electrical nightmares.. Last week I finally had enough of the deck that was in the truck and decided to pull it. I can not even begin to describe the mess that was the wiring harness from the factory harness to the deck.. As a solution I went to the yard and pulled an entire harness for the underdash and replaced mine. I forgot to mention he also thought he was an alarm technician as well. So I have now replaced the main harness, bought a new aftermarket adapter and installed the deck with 4 aftermarket speakers. Problem I am having is the pasenger front is still breaking up almost like a wire is loose (solder it). But the real confusion is in the passenger rear speacker its just a 6" alpine. I have tried checking the fade and balance but no matter what it has no sound to it. All wiring is new. I don't run an amp and don't plan to. I have always been a let ME not everyone listen to my music and I am happy. Anything I should check. I did test the speaker before installing and everything was working fine at the time. Thanks

take a AA battery, and hook it up to the speaker wires at the deck that lead to the speaker in question. You should hear the speaker make some noise, as you make contact/nocontact with the AAbattery.

If you dont get any connection, just run some new wire from the deck back to the speaker and be done with it.

Coyota $x$ hit the nail on the head.

To expound upon what he said, you are just sending a bit of DC power to the speaker ot make it pop and this just checks the continuity of the wire btwn the deck and the speaker. It if pops everytime, then you have some deck issues. If it doesnt, then you have a short or the speaker lines have been cut.

Beware, a shorted speaker lead has a nasty habit of killing the internal amp repsonsible for that speaker....
