new guy

Hey, just registered, thought I would say hi. My name is John Genslinger, I live just south of Chicago, just a poor college kid, your about to find out why. Drive a 92 4runner, built for trails and sound. Definetly a Sq. man. Though I have played with spl. I am in A/V sales, home and car. In my truck I have the kvt911dvd head unit, strait wire encore home cables, Mcintosh amp, Dynaudio components, Mcintosh mpm4000 meter module, Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 sub rigged for subtle bass. Total I think I am pushing 10k in the audio, but got it at a great employee discount. I know this is a car page but if anyone out there is a home guy like me, I own a pair of Dynaudio Contour 3.3s, Contour center, infinity intermezzo 1.2 sub, mirage rears, hitachi 53in high def, Harman/Kardon avr8000 rec. kenwood sovereign dvd, b&k 200x5 amp. turn table (yes records are better) Straight Wire Rhapsody. Total sticker probably around 30k. I only shelled out about 1/4 of that. (yes i have a problem but i love it, besides money is just paper until you spend it) So sorry about the length.

Welcome! Time for you to tune in for some performance so you can pull all those heavy audio stuff in your 2nd gen.

never entered it, Even though I work in home and car a/v world I never got around to competing. though I cant really imagine a better system (thats why i bought it) unless it was better Macintosh and Dynaudio. Those of you know those brands probably know what i mean. BUt it is all a matter a taste.

Well equipment wise, it is VERY top notch, but equipment is only 10% of the system. It's how it's installed that wins or looses competitions.

You should enter sometime, and see how ya do.

Anyhoo, got any pics? I love seeing new installs.
