NEED BASS 84 regular cab setup

Ok so I have a 84 regular cab and I want, well need some more bass. No Im not trying to be a poser or whatever, just I have ZERO bass with the current setup. Having had a 12inch sub in my past vehicles I cant do without a lil bit of bass. So my issue, the cab has almost no room to stick a regular subwoofer in it. My question is anyone ever install a small sub in these trucks? Also how does it sound and what do you guys recommend? I looked at possibly putting a 6inch bazooka tube, but am not sure yet. Thoughts opinions?

look into the kicker square L series. some of the smaller subs require as little as .33 cubic ft sealed, that should fit behind your seats with no issues.

An inexpensive one would help and not attract would be thieves. Fancy, expensive ones will sound very good but attract thieves.

One thing you need to check is if the speakers are wired in phase. Out of phase speakers will cause you to lose bass. To tell if speakers are out of phase, sit exactly same distance between the speakers. You should hear sound everywhere in between the speakers. If it feels like there is less sound in the middle, try reversing wiring to ONE speaker and repeat test.

i think a single 8" would do good or you can try 2 6.5" woofers they dont hardly need any space.

you should check out RE audio they have some 8-12" woofers that require less than a 1.0cu ft box.

It dosent matter what size you get but put in a good box tuned 32-34hz it should sound great.

x2 on the shallow mount sub. they are made to sound almost exactly like a regular sub but require barely any space to mount them in. i have a 12 inch kicker in my 86 xtra cab and i love it but even with an xtra cab its a tight fit with the box so i would definatly go with shallow subs. good luck!
