MTX Amp Issues

MTX Amp Issues
My ghetto bass has been having problems. The RCA connection to the MTX 6500 seems to have pushed in so it does not make a constant connection. When I jiggle it, there is a difference. When I hold it in, it is steady.
What can I reasonably do to fix this? I am leary of taking the cover off since amps are not exactly simple and dirty inside. I am afraid that long term it might trash the sub since it is intermittently connected.
Along these lines, the sub is an Eclipse Aluminum 2 ohm DVC. If the inputs are parallel on the amp and there is a lead to the positive of one and the negative of the other, what resistance is the amp seeing? 2 ohms because the coils are in series making 4 but then negating it at the amp? I did not wire the sub, a shop back home did it, but I did install the amp since it was millions cheaper to get through Ebay and plug in myself.

Ok all you need to do is take the cover off and see if the RCA jack is just loose from the board or the RCA jack is cracked or broken. If it is loose then just get a soldering iron and add some solder to it and make sure you are careful not to be sloppy with the solder and accidetally short something. it if is cracked or broken you need to find a replacement and do some R&R on it RCA are not to hard of a job to fix or replace. Yes just running it is not a good idea it can be bad for the amp and your speakers just consider it like having a loose ground and things can go very wrong if connections are loose. just consider this if your Power wire or Ground wire were loose you would not leave them just flopping around. And from what you wrote. if you got a 2ohm DVC sub and you are running them in series and the amp is just going to one set of the terminals then you are running a 4 ohm load. hope this helps
