I always had a feeling that McIntosh speakers are not nearly highly regarded in the community as their amps or even sources. Frankly I know nothing about them except that they are incredibly expencive. My current set up with Sonus Fabers sounds great with Mac's but I can't either get the maximum out of them or uprgrade to a bigger better speakers since they have to be positioned only 35 cm from the wall. On some recent pics I saw Mcintosh audio speakers positioned quite near the wall - so the question is (considering possible uprgrades in the future) - are there great but reasonably priced Mac speakers and can they perform well near the wall?
