theyre pricey. but its always cheaper to buy the right stuff the first time, if youre serious about what youre doing.

Speaking of Pricey .... Ill digress here a little.... Something to really consider though....

not everyone has the "critical ear" to appreciate the difference of truly high quality audio system. If you do, and you have the rest of the system to compliment these ( or any other $$$$) speakers .... great !!!!

If youre tone-deaf , or dont have the budget or arent willing to go the whole distance or whatever.... theres probably other ways to spend the money to get more "bang for the buck" for a total overall system thats most pleasing to you. [/digress]

I don't know about those specifically, but I've competed with MB Quart mids and tweets in my Celica and I have MB Quart home speakers. IMO, the brilliant highs they achieve with the ti tweets is worth the ching.

Everything Ive ever read said they are a great speaker but their mid-bass is a little lacking. Atleast compared to my boston z's. I was never able to do a direct comparison but if the QSD's midbass is anything like the PSD's midbass there is a huge difference. I couldn't ask for anything better than my boston's. An amazing speaker set. Prolly pay a little more than the quarts though. They seem to like the 200-300 rms/side Im giving them.
