Well I dont mind waiting on the warranty dept to get back to me. I grabbed my Boss 250 watt 12 that I thought was blown or just frikkin old and slapped it in. Woooooooooooohooooooooooo ive got BASS again. Who knows for how long but as long as it holds up until the replacement gets here. I may not even wait until it gets here. I may go down and buy a Punch that can play well with my amp and not get its a$$ handed to it. Whats a good 12" Punch that could work with the 4 channel 1800 watt wanna be amp?

Sounds like you're gettin it straightened out Ben!

But I have a ? of my own, sorry for the minor hijack.

Here's my setup, I have 2 Memphis 12" subs that are gonna be runnin on a 760W Pioneer amp with the stock headunit (for now). What gauge wire do I need to run and I know there is an adapter that I need to use in order for the stock HU to work...anybody know what these are called and what a good place is to get em?

Sorry for the hijack Ben...just thought I'd post in here versus make a new thread about it.

Let us know what you end up gettin woofer wise!

Fink

For that amp, I would run 8 awg power and ground cables. You might wanna add a .5 farad capacitor too(very optional).

You have to find a proper setting between the gain on the amp and the volume on the head unit. If you were cranking it with little power, that causes distortion, which in turn kills the speaker. Gain down on a not-so-good amp with the head unit up high = problems, gain all the way up and volume barely up = problems. Try 40-50% gain on the amp next time. Make sure it isn't so high where you can't hear the front stage.

never less than 4awg power. just a safety thing. Also, a capacitor is usually worthless... do the big-3, instead:

0awg wire from alt>batt+, batt->chassis, engine>chassis
