Help with stereo component install..
Hi Folks,
I just bought this '97 Tacoma SR5 4x4 and it came with a great stereo, although it wasn't installed all that well...IMHO.
I need ideas on where/how to mount the components:
There is a Rockford Fosgate Amp under the passenger rear jumpseat, but it's just sitting in there loose on top of a rats nest of wires a mile long. I want to seceure it somehow, but it's 14"x10"x2.5" so it barely even fits in there.
2nd is the crossovers...they're just dangling loosely under the dash, held in by some tie-wraps. They are MBQuart and about the same size as the palm of your hand.....I'd like to fasten them properly to something?
Finally, there were two MBQuart tweeters just sitting loose on the dash in each corner at the windshield, but I found a write-up with part numbers for the '98-'00 4Runner door mount tweeter pods, so I think that'll work ok for them.
Any help or suggestions on where to properly mount the amp and crossovers would be greatly appreciated.
thanks folks,
Rem
