I removed the cargo door on the bench seat, right behind the drivers side, like your install. I then made a new cover out of plywood, cut the woofer hole, took hardware cloth/mesh and covered the hole to provide protection for the woofer in case my kids try to sit on it. I then mounted the woofer and covered the top with carpet.
What did you do to isolate it from the other compartment area where the jack is stored? I used foaming insulation to make it airtight. Sounds pretty durn good...I still have to add some more insulation to fill some cracks. The Rockford Fosgate manual said I need just under 1 cu. foot in order to achieve good flat response.
