Question Alpine IVA-W200 install question

OK... so I just got my IVA-W200 and was reading the install manual. I noticed that to be able to adjust the setup and other functions of the HU you need to connect it to the hand brake and foot brake and set the parking brake then release then set it again. I also read on the web that people have defeted this but have not been able to find out how. I can understand Alpine not wanting people to watch DVD's while driving but why in the heck did they make it so hard to just change the system settings?

Well what my question is does anyone know how to defeat this "feature" it is going to be a real pain in the butt..

Hook up the normal brake wire as in the manual.
The parking brake goes to a grounded switch.
To bypass the video lock, apply the brake, turn switch on/off/on, and release brake. Video is unlocked until unit is powered off.

1) turn the unit on
2) push the brake pedal down
3) flip the ground switch on/off/on
4) release the brake pedal
video is now unlocked
