Since I have the '03 which lacks the MP3 player plug... My friend just got a 2006 (or 07) SR5. Her hubby is going to get her and MP3 player to plug into the Toyota plug. The dealer told him IPods don't work. Any truth to this ?

 

If it's the same plug as found in the new FJ's, it's just a simple 1/8" Mini Plug..and yes, it will work with an iPod. Audio only, no power or control over the iPod.

Not sure if it works but I know they have one for the FJ so I suspect it would be the same.

 

I use the Dice box, it's awesome. Shows song titles, album/artist names, and sounds really good. It also has an extra aux. input. I ran all the wires to the otherwise useless compartment beneath the hvac controls.

 

Hey thats cool, I may have to get one. I don't think they want to hardwire anything, but I just wanted to make sure whomever they spoke with was FOS.
