I like a lot of things about the new look to the homepage (i.e. calendar, rig of the week), but now it's too wide for my computer screen. I have to keep scrolling back and forth to look at everything. I think you could lose the Recent Threads. We can just click on New Posts if we want to see them. And removing it would even out the table cells.

Removing the Calendar button along the top and moving the Log Out button next to the welcome message above it should get everything to fit on even the smallest computer screens. If you remove the calendar button, you could make links on the dates on homepage calendar. Besides birthdays, there's only one event in June and one 4-day event in July. Those events could be posted under News on the homepage.

Not of huge importance, but I thought I'd mention it. These are just my thoughts. Feel free anyone to post better ideas.
