Problems with editing and emoticons, anyone?

Howdy,

Since this morning, it seems, I've been unable to edit my posts or apply any emoticons by clicking on them.

I can get to the edit screen and edit the post, but when I click on edit nothing happens. The task bar below continues to show done. Only within the last hour have I gotten "error on page". I can even click on "go advanced" or "cancel" and nothing happens. I am stuck on the edit screen and have to go back to the main page to view the thread again and make yet another post to add to the original.

The emoticons.....nothing happens when I click'em. I can type in the text and get one that way, though.

I've tried two different browsers on my PC thinking maybe my usual standby is on the fritz and needing to be reloaded, but it's the same story with both.

Is anyone else having this issue?

No problem on my end with Firefox.
Everything is full speed ahead here with editing and clicking on the smilies.

Thanks fellas. I've been paying attention to others posting and it seems I'm the only one having these issues.

Mostly I use Avant browser (up to date), but somtimes I use IE....but, only for viewing youtube videos and such.

I've been using Bitdefender firewall for quite a while now. Nothing has changed about that or the browsers I use, so I don't understand how they would be affecting anything all of the sudden.

I'll do some tweaking on the firewall and pop-up blockers, etc. and see if that changes anything. You know how programs and PC's can be.....minds of their own and doing crap you're not aware of.....until things start going to crap.

Mine don't work either. I'm on Internet Exploder, and it seems to be up to date.

Yeah....I just disabled all of my firewalls, antispam, etc., etc. and still no change.

Hmmm....if I'm not alone on this, maybe it isn't my computer afterall?!

There is a reason I quit using IE a few years back.
The only time I use it is for the Windows updates.

I use only Firefox for surfing the 'Net, and never have a problem with it.

And yes, make sure you have all of the Windows updates which are released the second Tuesday of every month.

Windows updates? Sorry Corey....not sure what that's all about. I'm not too privy on technical aspects of my computer. My wife maintains them and I maintain the vehicles. Fair trade off....lol!

Anyway, how would updates, or lack of, be affecting my computer and the problem I'm having in relation to this site? Particularly all of the sudden? I don't seem to be having any out of the ordinary problems using the web otherwise.

Wow!!!!

Okaaaayyy! So, I happen to have Firefox on my PC, but never used it. The wife loads stuff on here and I simply don't know what all I have and what it's all for. Anyway, I am having no issues using Firefox!!??? I suppose I'll have to ask her what gives, unless someone is willing to offer up the info.

Wow....Firefox moves really stinkin' fast. Avant can go to the can, as far as I'm concerned. That thing is a slug!

Oh look! I can even edit......

And, post emoticons.....

Lol.....I told my wife this morning that I'd started using Firefox. She said,"Oh, I don't like Firefox....it's too slow!". Haha!

She's using Opera browser...the new edition....and it it's apparently (according to her) the bomb. She's blackmailing me to get some repairs done before she'll do anything to my computer, so when I've finished that maybe I can get her to load Opera on mine. It does appear to be easier to use. I haven't the slightest how to make Firefox work, yet, so it's a frustrating. I can't use Youtube, photobucket, load pics to my documents, and even a slight issue with YT. So, since I'm used to using Avant, right now I've gone back to using it until I either modify Firefox or she does some tweaking on the PC. I just have to be careful what I type so I don't have to edit and forego emoticons I don't know the text for. It's too bad I can't edit....I have Tourrete's....#$%%!...syndrome....#@$EQ%!...pretty bad and...!!@#@#%$!...and I don't know....%@$%!...how I'm going to deal with it...@%$#%@#$!
