I like number 2 for shirts, and number 1 for decals i'd sport both of them... one on my truck one on my shirt or other clothing item.

I agree with you completely but that would up the charge to $160 to get both of them digitized.

Then we would have to decide which one would be our official logo to use on the site and stuff.

If we use Corey's company that he already has a deal with they would charge $80 per logo to get it digitized...IIRC.

A family friend of mine owns a graphics shop, I will see if she has the capability to digitize.

Let me clarify.

The members would only pay for the shirt with the logo already on it, then plus whatever the extra cost for the user name on the back, etc...

We, the staff (and anybody who wanted to chip in), would pay a one-time $80 fee per logo that we wanted digitized for use on merchandise.

Once the logo(s) are digitized you can get them printed on any garment that the embroidery shop offers.

Does that help?

No worries man, I'm glad you asked.
The garments are actually very competitively priced.

I'm pumped about getting an official logo, maybe get it trademarked and stuff.

What I really want to do is get a die-cut decal sample of each of those...I think the tire tracks will look super slick being die-cut.

yeah I actually like how those shirts above came out. the tire track and the font really make it. Plus I like the idea of the jersey style screen name on the back. would be helpful with pointing everyone out at meets

Do they also offer a full line of clothing like the shop in my URL?

Yes, the $80 is a one time fee for them to "enter-digitize" the graphic into their computers.
Takes time, they have to tweak the photos in a program.
Consider that $$$ as paying the dude or dudette for their time.

But besides the price of the garment, you do pay a small fee for the embroidery or the silk screening, that is only natural over the price of the garment.

I will say that polo shirts with their airy/holy cotton do not take well to embroidery work.
I have one with the old logo, and it bunches up.
It would be best to stock with T shirts and their cotton work shirts and have it inked on.

The nylon garments such as jackets and pullovers take embroidery quite well as you can see by the work they did to my Boeing stuff.

I will call the shop next week early if we are going to go with them and get more details, and we still have to decide on the final logos here.
There may be more entries from other members too.

Lets not rush this, as this has already been in the works for many years, we have just been waiting on the right graphics.

And I will find out from them too what file format the picture must be in.

Well since Poynter did such a good job on the first selection of shirts, maybe he's got some more ideas up his sleeves.

I would only ever get a jacket, a couple hoodies, a bunch of t-shirts and a couple hats.

It'd be neat to be able to get our usernames in the same tready font that he used in the first logo I cropped.

Of course I would get at least one large decal to go across my back window.

Also I would go with my name on the left front of the jacket, and have the big logo on the back.

Same with the shirts.
I always like the big stuff on back, and small stuff up front over the left chest side.
That is how my FJ shirts are that I buy from a vendor.
Examples here.

http://www.gotcruiser.com/apparel.htm

He can do the small logo like in the pic below, and then add the bigger graphic to the front or the back.
I just prefer my larger graphics on the back.

I have spent a mint with him though with shirts and a hoodie.

Yes we have our own private label apparel and can get almost anything... berne, driduck, cutter & buck, nike, ping, ogio...
heres one vendor. http://sanmar.com
We have in house screen printing & embroidery.
We can do the jersey letters as well, it adds a few bucks per shirt.

Is this something you'd be able to provide on a large scale, reliable basis?
Take online orders? Pay with card, PayPal, etc...?
