If my opinion matters, im going to side with the folks who disagree!

For most of the above reasons, mostly, i feel it would make it unorganized.

Instead of pics in the sig line, everybody could put a link to like a photobucket account to show off their rig more... Just a thought!

Pics.....meh thats what the avatars are for.

But for those of you cracking on sig line quotes and other jibba jabba....those without unique sig lines tend to get lost in the mix. I frequently miss text lines from people who don't have a few lines of sig material.

Godzilla: You're posts are a perfect example of this. You have no sig line. Nothing wrong with it, its your personal choice. But, i tend to miss the things you post since there is nothing to stop and grab my attention that a new post is made between yours and other peoples posts. Again, nothing wrong with it, its your profile, but just letting you know how it is for me. Is everyone like me? Naw, im sure not.

Again, its a persons preference how much sig line material to put in there, and it is limited to 500 characters right now. A pic in the sig line however tends to be too distracting.

Make sense?

FWIW, people should have the common sense to take questions and comments about avatars and sig line info to PM's. However, even I have been guilty of posting in a thread about someones avatar. IMHO, if you post a quick blurb and be done with it, taking any further comments to PM's, everything will continue to roll smoothly.

i like them, but there should be some regulations on them. ive noticed that when someone posts up pictures here in a thread, they can have it as big as they want it. (ive tried, ive posted a picture that was like 1280x1024 or some crazy thing like that i made in photoshop). now if there was a LIMIT, like if you go beyond, lets say, maybe twice the size of the avatar, the code in the site wouldnt allow it. then that would be awesome. but if it takes up the whole page? no.

Everyone has their own opinions on these matters... but thanks for sharing your feelings and re-affirming that there is nothing wrong with my profile...I can now wake up and face tomorrow...

well that smart smarmy remark was not necessary...i was merely pointing out why I think sig lines and the information contained therein were helpful.

I meant no offense by it my friend, so dont take it that way.

Tires are Dick Cepek Mountain Cats.
Made in the same factory as Cooper STTs and Pro Comps.
285x70x17.

Now this is why I have a sig line
Look in my sig where it says roof top tent, and there is also a video link to how it sets up.

Also more pics of the tent and the awning here.
That link also has the video in it.

Well, so far there are more posts against the sig file pics than there is for it.
Voting ends Thursday.

However, we have decided to up the sig letter count from 500 to 10,000.
Now we can all include a novel in our sig lines.

You can write your life story, ask a tech question in your sig, and have others answer it.
It will be magnifico
