Since when is profanity a prerequsite in conversation? Let's keep it civil, people. It takes more effort to swear when typing and makes the typist look like a moron.

 

My familiarity with it comes from it's use denoting angstrom, a unit of cellular measurement. I guess that is not the reason it is being used on the site though?

 

I don't know about you guys, but I get about 273600000000000 angstroms per gallon highway and about 209200000000000Å per gallon city.

I've also got the downey 381000000Å HD lift and my next tires are going to be 8382000000Å x 2667000000Å BFG muds. Hopefully with those tires I won't need a Roger Brown 254000000Å BL to clear them.

I think its fine as it is,if we allow swear words as a rule everyone will start & new members who havent seen the check option will wonder what kind of site this is.
Also i dont think it will encourage the very polite debates many of us have from time to time.it will take away the respect to other peoples opinons that most have on this site.
Now dont get me wrong im not against swearing.Almost every 3rd word out of my mouth is a swear word,but i dont want to offend anyone for no good reason.
Im quilty of using abbreviations sometimes but only when my runner is really p.... (opps) Annoying me.& only members who want to understand them will .

 

i agree, this site it well maintained and the no swearing idea is perfect as it is. i surf the pirate board, and with all the cussing, you have to read to far into some threads to get the info that your searching for. here, its straight forward and to the point. YOTATECH ROCKS!!!

 

I guess it doesnt filter them all :pat: had to try.

 

We do not have Mr. Censor tackle every swear word here.
There are only a few obvious words that are censored that have been used in the past, and a few that I would only call my X wife.
