I'd love to see what the shock setups are for Breezy and SteveO's 4runners.

Chris

P.S. Are you going to have to relocate the gas tank, because of all the increased felx, or does the axle stay more centered using the leafs?

No gas tank move, easy install.

You know whats funny is that the Frankensteins are actually MORE expensive than buying the SAWs.

All those parts really add up.

Fall of '03, it was a good year. The Cheese had just invaded the desert. The Colorado front put up a good fight but eventually fell to "just bump it." Then the visions started. Street tires, leaf springs, solid axles, it will never end.

Old Man Emu N76 shocks will complete the package and be mounted like Breezy, Hunt, etc did as well. The N76 is the longest shock OME makes.
What's the fully compressed and fully extended length of these shocks Steve? How about the valving. I'm looking for something stiffer than the N86's for my next setup.

Chris

Would you agree that since the angle of the shocks are increased and the they are moved more towards the center of the axle that the valving would have to be a lot stiffer to equal the same ride quality that the N86's provide in the stock location?

Chris

Who would you recomend for stiffer shocks?

The ARB people said these are valved specifically for leaf springs. To stiffen them up they siad people run 2 per side.

If you want a longer and stiffer shock, try the Bilstein rear shocks for an FZJ-80. They are a bit stiffer than the N86 and 3" longer.
