I want to see a swap on a late model rig done with less than 30 man hours that is not hack.

On the old junk, heck we could do leaves in long weekend.

Using good parts cost good money. Doing a built high pinin custom axle is a lot better and more expensive than doing a stocker with just a rebuild.

People, this subject has been argued to death...it's like
for every person that says it will be more than 5K , there's someone who say he can do it for 10 bucks using old parts from deserted air plane on a deserted island.

what we need to do is just ask the guy what he can/can't do. We can just give him choices and he can make up his own mind as to what the total will be. It's all depend on what parts he's willing to spend and what he's willing to leave out.

I can get a 2x2 square, weld a D44 ends to it and run D44 tie rod/s teering. Weld some hangers and put rear toy springs on it and call it a day. That's should be less than 200 bucks. Oh you want it in 4WD?...with drive shafts and gear/diff? and bigger tires too and have the rear to come up the same height? .....Oooooh , that's gonna be extra.

thats funny, that looks exactly like my parts list I am making. Minus the bead locks but I am going with a high pinion front 3rd and v6 3rd for the rear.
