my lil 86 Toyota pickup is in need of a skid plate. I just installed a skyjacker 4" lift, and can not seem to find a manufacturer..any suggestions?

 

custom would be the easiest way. there is also budbuilt, and they'll make one for you.

 

I called bud, but they didn't seem to interested in doing something for me, so im exploring other avenues

 

probably because they wouldn't make any money off making just one, assuming they have them machine-cut these days and need to do small runs, not one-offs. i would just go to a metal fab shop, any with a brake should be able to make it for you - a basic skid is only a rectangle of steel with 2 bends, a couple mounting holes and maybe a notch or two for clearance.
