LOL thanks chris.
I am quickly running out of time on this build. Not sure if I will get the elocker wired in time for Tellico this year, but I will still be locked in the rear.
You better have it ready, because I want to see it walk up Heli pad, School bus, upper and lower 2, and guardrail. I'll spot ya!

Chris

Talking Its alive!!!!!!!

Sunday we played with an old grill guard from a Chevy. Here is what it looked like brfore we started cutting it up.

Here is what it looked like after cutting it up and tacking it on the rig. ( there will be some gussets added to it)

Finally got it on the road today for some testing and tweaking. It still needs some work but it is getting there.....

The gratuitus flex shot! LOL

Some more pics! A blurry pic of it backing up!

Right now, I have the old 33s on there. I am waiting for some wheel spacers to run the 35s. Unfortunately the wheels that I have the 35s on do not have the clearance to work properly with the front brake calipers.... :pat: Maybe later I will put the 35s on the aluminum wheels and get rid of the steelies.

Many thanks to Allan for his help and support and garage

Mark (formulatoy36) for hooking me up with the shocks I needed. Youre shocks are going in the mail tomorrow BTW.

And of course my wife for not complaining too much about me being gone so much.

I think its because the springs havent settled in yet. I am running Marlins 4" springs front and rear. In the rear I have 6" shackles and in the front I have 5" shackles.

you should see MY shackle angle if you think thats bad. The 3in all-pro springs are shorter eye-to-eye and my front end is VERY light right now. The shackles sit perfectly vertical at rest. My springs are not broken in yet, and neither are his(for very different reasons). They will settle anywhere from 1-3 inches which will push back the static shackle angle some. I want to trade mine out for the 4in marlin springs sometime.

Will,

Big congrats man. That looks tight. The springs will settle a bit and you'll start to notice a softer ride.

What size spacers you gonna run or have to run to clear the 35s?

Awesome. Did I send you rims with those 35s? Can't remember. And thanks for the shocks! I'm about ready for them.

Cool, okay, I thought so, since I ran them on my truck and didn't have a clearance problem. I think those were reversed BS if IIRC

Dude, I'm a jealous bitch...Nice..workin in the sun.

Thanks !

I forgot to mention that the side "wings" were inspired by the old trekker! I saw first hand how well they worked and protected, so I had to fab something up on mine.

yeah, the settling of the springs defintely brings th angle back a bit... but i'm just saying it's weird that my shackle was instantly ~45* and hasn;t changed... just kinda odd. must just be the TG springs...

Talking Update;

Update time!

I have had it on the road for almost a week now and havent had any problems (except that the parking garage I use now has to come and open the gate for me because the sensors dont see my rig anymore ).
Still working on getting a drive shaft for the front. I am supposed to have one here by Wednesday; The day before I go to Tellico. If not I have another one lined up to take over, so there should be some wheeling pics of it next week.

BTW I am driving this 8 hours to the trail head and back!
