Rear inboard shockbar build

Want o bend some 1.5" .120 wall tubing to make my own rear inboard shock bar. I know i could buy one for $60 from sky fab, but i live on a rock in the middle of the pacific and shipping to here is rape prices. Also what's the fun in buying when you can bend and fabb yourself. Will have pics of finished product. How's the body roll on street driving with one though? Need some input before i make anything to help me figure my desired shock angles i wanna run without goin over board. Thanks

You want your rear shocks to be as vertices as possible. The more like this /\ they are, the more body roll youll have. If you must angle them, getting a stiffer shock will help with the body roll.

Auryte, thanks for the input homie. That what i was thinking myself. What length shocks should i be lookin at you think? I know it depends on how high i expect mounting and bending, but ball park to shop for would be cool.

the length of shock you need depends on lift, uptravel, where you mount the shock bar, how much angle you have the shocks at, and so on. imagine your susp fully compressed and and measure from the axle mounting point to the shock bar mounting point, then subtract one inch for safety to make sure the shocks dont bottom out. before you weld or bolt your shock bar on do measurements to find how much you can eek out of it.
