I like it.......what about a receiver in the front for a winch or another tow point.....i do like those winches.

Careful on tranny overheating if you have an automatic. The factory cooler is in the bottom of the radiator and as soon as it's covered and you drive with a load they can overheat quick. Not the motor, the tranny.

That being said, nice job.

I am a little concerned about the tranny....but I will have to just see what happens. I don't tow very often, but the first time I do I will be easy on it and see how it goes.

I was very systematic in painting the inside...I took the spray paint can, and shoved it down in there and let loose! I doubt it's pretty, but there is no way I missed anything, I emptied an entire can inside that sucker!

I drove around town for a year with this receiver hitch I built, even hit the freeway a few times without ever having a problem. It barely covers the the front cross member support. Put 4 people and some lugguage in my 4Runner on the way to Mexico and started blowing tranny fluid out the vent from overheating (wife was real happy). Installed a seperate cooler and no problems since. I would put one just to be safe. Running cooler never hurts. Beautiful work and nice design though!



My valance even has holes for air and I had problems.

That's awesome Crolison, I wasn't trying to copy your photo position too! It looks good painted that tan color, and I'll be damned...you sure did fit a winch in it! That makes me feel better.
