Looking good! You gonna leave all those extra brackets on there? I'd hack any you don't use for something OFF...one less thing for the rocks to grab!

I was going to cut the steering stabilizer bracket off but for some reason it slipped my mind.

Here are some pictures of how I left the axle tonight. The E-locker is not installed nor the axles. I’m waiting on the lockers to be re-geared. The plan is to just get the axle huge then add the e-locker and 30 spline longs later.

Talking It's Done!!!!!!!!

THE SAS IS COMPLETE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well almost.

Here are a couple of the pictures I took with my camera. Marc (zman2day) took a lot with his camera so I’ll get them from him and have them up later.

Before I post these pictures I’d like to publicly thank both Marc (zman2day) and my brother (Matt) for there help. I couldn’t have finish this part of my buildup without there help, so I say “Thank you” to them.

Here’s a couple before SAS pictures.

IFS parts.

Here are some poser flex pictures. These springs don’t flex very well, there just cheap old stock 3” lift springs that we used to get me home. I’m still trying to decide on some Trail-Gear springs or a custom Toyota rear pack.

I still need a drive shaft, some inner axles, and an E-Locker.

Onward to the 3.4 swap.

I’ll start another buildup thread for this later but I found a rebuild-able 22RTE for my 1992 daily driver pick-up. My goal is to have that motor push around 180-200HP or so; I think stock is 160 or something. I’m going to pick that motor up next weekend and start rebuilding it in a week or so.

I need to do some research on it. Does anyone know how much work it is to swap a turbo motor into a non-turbo truck?

EDIT: Missed the "T" in that. Sorry - my bad. 145HP stock. 200HP will cost some $$.

The turbo will go in my pickup if I decided to do it not the 4Runner (the 4Runner will be getting a 3.4). I’ve been doing some reading and I’m weighting my options. The 7MGE looks to be an option also.
I realize the 180-200HP number was way high now that I've done some reading.

I think I left the CD at your house. What did the feeder need?

I found an HP E-locker in GA. I’m going to call them about it tomorrow.

Yea I forgot them to. :pat:

I’ve been thinking about ordering both front and rear springs from Trail-Gear. Give me a weekend you’d like to do the rear and I’m there. I’ll put the order in to Trail-Gear ASAP .

It’s official. My 3.4 swap is under way and in the parts gathering stage. I’ve posted my 3.0 motor and trans for sale to try and help with some of the cost.
