Marlin's ifs heavy duty steering box mount kit
#1
well since i needed to do a steering mount kit i decided to do a write up since i couldnt really find any good info on doing this weld on kit.
IM NOT THE BEST "WRITE UP PERSON" SO BARE WITH ME
FYI THIS WAS DONE ON MY T100 BUT ITS ALL THE SAME FOR YOU MINI TRUCKIN DUDES OUT THERE

So pretty much to start off this project is completely remove your powersteering box no ifs ands or buts around it carefull though that damn thing is heavy too!!
After that part is done your gonna need a 1inch frame drill (a reamer) to ream out the 2 holes through the frame that your steering box bolts too.

After your 2 holes are are reamed out start cutting/grinding the stock sleeves that go through the frame on the inside of the frame rail

after you got all that shaved down nicey nice its to mount this sucker with "c clamps"

go to town on it and start welding!!!!! for me i used a stick welder with 7018 3/32 rod with 1 pass

AND JUST WHEN YOU THINK YOUR DONE.....YOUR NOT!!!
the only thing left to do is ream out the 3 holes to your power steering box(sorry i didnt get a photo of this, because i was in a rush to finish). I used a 1/2 frame drill and it was a perfect fit for the over sized bolts Marlin supplied! and after that just bolt that sucker back up and your ready to hit the trail with confidence knowing your power steering box isnt gonna fall out

Before drilling or welding anything you should test fit you steering links and make sure they clear the frame and have no interferences.
Clearancing the inner fender makes access easier as well.
