yup always do. It'll be interesting to see what I get. I usually get around 16, which might not sound good at all but that includes like trips to Reiter Pit where I'm on the interstate at ~70 and then low range to hi range to low range thru all rpm ranges in the pit. If I do just interstate driving like to the Tacoma shows I'm hitting ~18+...so we'll see.

wow..18+ on the interstate at around 70mph!?!? that's pretty nice, do you think you'd get a little better if you had 5.29's? lol
eventually i'll go 35's on my '92 and i'm constantly asking about gearing and mileage lol
i'm 3vz though..but still curious BBP!

Ah yes the 5.29 vs 4.88 comparison...well, the rpm range I run(plus the other goodies I have including header, 2.5" high flow exhaust, Supra AFM, 3" intake pipe...etc) keeps me in the bottom to midway of the power band allowing less down shifts to 5th. HOWEVER, I would say that the 5.29's WOULD be better on the trail. I haven't had any problems on the trails that I would exclaim: damn I wish I had those 5.29s!!!!! Thus, my particular rig build has been for the "expeditionary" design-long huals w/payload. Besides in the beginning it WAS a dd for years.
Now, also, hitting 18 mpg is different than AVERAGING 18!!

Update, 16FEB10
Today I got in my new inlet hood which is QUITE a bit smaller than the old pineapple stove pipe snorkel stack...
Not bad for $13...ish...
As you can see its screened up inside from the bottom. It's the 6" model but the next size up was 11.5" which I think would have been obnoxiously big.

Unfortunately, I basically WASTED all the 3" pipe I had but I think I can salvage just enough to put inside the stack and then attach the inlet hood. I'm liking the height the stove pipe currently is at and will probably retain that. Nice thing is that this is flexible for height.
